Harare- ZIMBABWE Young Influencers- a grouping of young influencers, will on Wednesday host an event dubbed the Cyber Security Talk to dissect cyber laws and how they affect influencers and the population at large.
ICT minister Tatenda Mavetera will be the guest of honour and a decorated line up of speakers is scheduled to participate.
The Cyber Protection act provides for data protection with due regard to the Declaration of Rights under the Constitution and the public and national interest; to establish a Cyber Security Centre; a Data Protection Authority and to provide for their functions; to create a technology driven business environment .
One of the organisation ‘s national chairperson Fagio Marowa said the platform was vital for influencers and business.
“We have invited the minister and we think ad young influencers and businesspeople we need to discuss cyber security.
“How it helps better data management, protecting personal data, how it
enhances productivity and
assists the remote management,” said Marowa.
