Zebra Kiss, Rimbi bus owners regret Nyamapanda road accident, apologises to the nation

Harare- IN a clear sign of maturity and proffesionalism, owners of Zebra Kiss and Rimbi Tours made an apology on the Nyamapanda road accident which they described as “negligence driving” .

The accident occured Wednesday and the bus operators fervently apologized to the affected and nation at large.

“We would like to apologise to the entire nation for the road traffic accident that occured along Nyamapanda Highway on Wednesday that was caused by mere negligence driving.

“The accident claimed one of our staff members,” they said in a joint statement released Thursday.

Zebra Kiss was represented by its managing director Tangisai Mapiranga while Rimbi was represented by Decent Rimbi who occupies the same portfolio.

The duo went on extend it’s condolences to staff members and parents.

“Our deepest condolences for the life lost, injuries and trauma experienced by our supporting passengers and staff members .

“We wish a speed recovery to those injured and we will be catering for their welfare while in hospital including medical expenses, ” further reads the statement.

They said they have already communicated with the
bereaved family and are duly rendering the necessary assistance.

Internal disciplinary hearing procedures have already been instituted forthwith.

“We take full responsibility for the reckless driving exhibited by our drivers and have since taken internal disciplinary measures while the Police have also instigated appropriate measures,” reads the statement.

Both operators have declared that with mmediate effect, all their drivers will be taken for refresher courses to ensure guaranteed safety on the roads.

The apology was also extended to government with assurance to adherence to road safety regulations.

“To the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development we would like to assure you of our commitment to continue serving the public with safety of passengers, motorists and the general public being our sole concern,” it read.
