The fugitive businessmen are charged for C/S 113 of the face code and C/S 8(2) of the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act.

Investigations established that on May 23 2024, the duo was implicated in theft of trust Property as defined in Section 113 of the Criminal Law [Codification and Reform] Act Chapter 9:23 and Money Laundering as defined in Section 8(2) of the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act [Chapter 9:24].

They reportedly got paid US$40 million by Treasury for them to supply and deliver goats meant to support the underprivileged households across the country under the Presidential Goats Scheme.

” It is alleged that after the accused persons received the said funds from the Treasury, they did not deliver the goats as agreed but they went on and converted the funds for their own use through purchasing luxurious houses and vehicles and hiring call girls from United States,” read part of the findings.

The alleged ”fugitives’ then went on an onslaught to soil the name of astute businessman and Intratek director Wicknell Chivayo in claims that Chivayo poured cold water on as “malicious” , in a letter written to the duo’s South African based lawyers.

“Investigations carried out established that a letter to the Finance ministry confirmed records for money that was paid to Blackdeck Investments, a company owned by Mpofu and his silent partner Chimombe towards the purchase of the goats, and a reconciliation of the expenditures for all funds received by the Ministry of Lands from the Ministry of Finance towards the purchasing of the goats as well as the total number of goats delivered to the Ministry of Lands by Blackdeck proved that the guys duped Treasury,” read part of the findings.

Express Mail Zim however established that BlackDeck and Poultry farming is a non existent company but the former dancer Mpofu corruptly registered another company with Phineas Hazvineyi Kabisira on February 12 2015 in pursuit of their well orchestrated scheme of their nefarious activities.
