Sanyati -THE residence of Zimbabwean war veteran and former secret service officer Blessed Geza was reportedly attacked with petrol bombs in Sanyati Friday night, marking the second incident of damage to the property in a week,Express Mail Zim has heard.

The first incident allegedly occurred last week when windows were shattered.

Geza has been at the forefront of organizing demonstrations slated for March 31, protesting President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s bid for a third term.

Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANU-PF, is embroiled in a bitter power struggle between Mnangagwa and his deputy, General Constantino Chiwenga.

This power struggle was sparked by Mnangagwa’s attempt to extend his term beyond 2028, when his second term is set to expire.

Award winning scribe Hopewell Chin’ono announced the incident on his social media handles.

Geza, a prominent war veteran and critic of Mnangagwa’s government, has been vocal about his opposition to the president’s attempt to secure a third term.

His calls for protests have garnered significant attention, with many Zimbabweans expressing frustration over the government’s handling of the economy and political affairs .

The attack on Geza’s home has raised concerns about the safety of opposition figures and the escalating political tensions in Zimbabwe.
