Wadyajena London-bound on Parly ticket
Harare- GOKWE-Nembudziya legislator Justice Mayor Wadyajena will next week travel abroad on parliamentary duty after the court Monday relaxed his bail conditions and released his passport,Express Mail Zim can report.
Wadyajena is due to attend the tobacco fair and the Zimbabwe Outward Trade Fair in London running from September 3 to September 10.
This trip had been arranged prior to his arrest on allegations of defrauding Cotton Company of Zimbabwe (Cottco) an amount to the tune of US$5 million along with three accomplices.
The trip was funded by the Parliament of Zimbabwe and is work related.
According to the iterinary, he will then proceed to Germany for a four day long World Tobacco Fair which commences on September 14.
“He (Wadyajena) has been cleared by Cabinet for this trip funded by the Parliament of Zimbabwe,” submitted his legal counsel Oliver Marwa in the application of bail conditions relaxation.
The application sailed through unopposed and the magistrate Stanford Mambanje duly granted it .
The youthful legislator has had two of his luxury vehicles confiscated and taken to the Zimbabwe -Anti Corruption Commission (Zacc) after State agents reportedly spotted them at Beitbridge border post on suspicion that the vehicles were destined for South Africa .
