Mazowe-SEVERAL villagers have been arrested at Arnold farm in Mazowe on charges of trespassing and vandalism and  one of Vice President Kembo Mohadi’s son had a death scare in a  mining explosives attack  , Express Mail Zim can report.

“The explosives where thrown inside the cabin at the farm at midnight

“The explosive itself was packed with nails and glass,” said an employee at the farm.

The 1,245-hectare farm was subdivided and is located near the scenic Mazowe Dam, which was once coveted by then first lady Grace Mugabe.

The villagers were ultimately spared from eviction by a High Court order that barred Grace from taking possession of the land .

Express Mail Zim has video footage of the vandalism activities by the villagers who are allegedly paying police in a ‘catch and release’ scheme.

Arnold Farm Residents Association chairperson Jaison Zimhondi has allegedly gone into hiding after he was accused of leading the villagers in the vandalism spree.

A villager Patience Murozvi is set to appear in court this week on charges of unlawful occupation of VP Mohadi’s son.

Others who are behind bars have
been identified as Job Chipenya and
Givers Kamonere.

“They are trespassing and unlawfully destroying property,” said a source who preffered anonymity.

“We were surprised to hear reports that villagers were evicted but he (Mohadi) is merely preparing and setting up for the next farming season on a farm he acquired after following due process,”said a senior employee at the farm
