TIMB workforce rejuvenated to hit govt targets
Harare- IN an atmosphere of rejuvenation amid scathing misinformed information from a bogus advisory organization , the TIMB board chairman Patrick Devenish has cleared the air this Thursday and categorically stated employees were in good vibe and asked for what they need for sustainability in the light of a volatile fight by a bogus association Golden Leaf Advisory, GLA, to destabilize the tobacco industry.
Addressing TIMB workers this Thursday, Devenish rejuvenated the workers’ mood who were reportedly captured in a ‘Catch 22 situation’ following an onslaught by GLA bosses whose relationship as an affiliate with TIMB has long expired.
Devenish said the parastatal respects the rights of its workers but some outside forces with the a hidden agenda to destabilize the success story by TIMB to register a record breaking output for the first time in history has been talkative to portray a bad image of the parastatal.

Devenish said the parastatal respects the rights of its workers but some outside forces with a hidden agenda to destabilize the success story by TIMB to register a record breaking output for the first time in history has been talkative to portray a bad image of the parastatal.
Impeccable sources told Express Mail Zim that the workers must be wary of such forces and unite as an organization which has a brighter future to uplift the livelihoods of thousands of households and the nation at large.
The moral booster by TIMB Chair comes amid negative reports and misinformation by GLA reportedly working in cahoots with the suspended Chief Executive Meanwell Gudu to soil the image of acting CEO Emmanuel Matsvaire claiming he is Devenish’s blue eyed boy.
The bogus organization bosses singing for their supper, has on several occasions infiltrated TIMB workforce to rebel and misinform the media about the so called sexual harassments in an attempt to dislodge the acting CEO and pave way for the return of Gudu.
Farmers organizatios has also come out guns blazing accusing the GLA boss Maziwisa of attempting to derail the efforts by farmers to boost production by operating illegally as their permit expired last year.
In a letter gleaned by this publication and signed by former TIMB CEO Doctor Andrew Matibiri stipulates that Golden Leaf Advisory was given a mandate to assist in offering extension services to farmers and not administrative interference for a period 2012 -2022.
What it means is that GLA is no longer an affiliate with Tobacco industry and Marketing board.
On the backdrop of record breaking output of 295 million kilograms of tobacco this year – farmers raked in over 800 million United States dollars into the country – thanks to the reforms implemented by TIMB board and management to curb side marketing and mushrooming of tobacco surrogate.
