TIMB boss Matsvaire announces date for season opening
He projects 265 million kgs sales this season
Harare- TOBACCO Industrial Marketing Board (TIMB) flure cured tobacco marketing season commences on March 13.
In a statement released Tuesday, TIMB acting chief executive Emmanuel Matsvaire said a brief ceremony to mark the start of the marketing season will be held on March 13, and contract tobacco sales start on March 14.
Industry players were optimistic that this year’s sales projection will surpass the 2023 of statistics of 261 million kgs, in 2022 it was 269 kg in a positive growth trajectory.
