The Plug band ‘plugs off’ domestic violence in song

Harare- NORTON based Afro Fusion artiste Tatenda Mhangambi has louded his voice against domestic violence.

The Norton based musician said he has a passion of fighting child marriages and he is weapon is the microphone .

He penned song called Chimhandara which championed abuse of young female children through child marriages.

Upcoming Norton based afro fusion artist Tatenda Mhangami this week took the internet by storm after releasing his first single off the album Atsunya Arwa titled Chimhandara.

Speaking to Express Mail Zim, Mhangami said “Working on Chimhandara project wasn’t much of a hustle because I have a strong management team that had my back from the moment i came with the song to them.

“The project is an attempt to fight against Child marriages and also is a clean wedding song. Chimhandara is a piece of art written for a sister of the songwriter inspired by the good experience he shared with his sister as they grew up governed by their mother as their major role model.”

The talismanic musician is the frontman of the band called the Plug , he was nurtured by the late Dr Oliver Mtukudzi at Pakare paye arts center, he is a former lead vocalist at Zimpraise choir, he led a song called Kumbira Mwari live at Glamis arena in 2014, he then went on to become a backing vocalist at Mathias Mhere’s band up until 2019 when he officially started his own solo music journey and has Chimhandara as the first track officially released from his fourth coming Album.This track was recorded live at 2071 records by producer Prosper Mashipe, mixed and mastered by USA based Pastor Herman Chimusoro.
