Harare- FOUNDERS of fast rising funeral services provider Stoneriver have dedicated the two awards they recently scooped at a business awards ceremony to their dedicated staff and loyal customers.
The 10-month year old company scooped two gongs – Chief Executive of the year and Fast Rising funeral services provider.
In an interview one of the founders Tawanda Rodrick Pilime said it was motivating to be recognised in the cut throat industry and they will continue to serve with dignity and introduce innovative products for the customers satisfaction.
“To us we feel humbled for the awards that came in with just 10 months in the game.
” We appreciate our staff who serve with dignity.
“We have also launched a School of Mortuary Science where our graduates will be absorbed into the company since they know the culture and values of the company” said Pilime.
He said they have also introduced Chitomborwizi Foundation which will see senior citizens above 85 years getting free undertaking services.
” As part of our corporate services responsibility programmes, we are embarking on a clean campaign in Highfield during the third week of the year where will also distrubute food hampers to senior citizens.
“We chose Highfield because that is the neighbourhood where both founders grew up and its our small way of giving back,” added Pilime.
Stoneriver is also one of the few players who offer Muslim burials.
In December last year, the family of the Mufakose murderer Thomas Nyamhunga who has adopted the name ‘butcher’ showered praises on Stoneriver after they chipped on the deceased funeral expenses.
Stoneriver had to cater for funeral expenses and also provided undertaker services in the funeral that was resulted in by a crime of passion.
They went on to bury talented musician Terry Gee.
