‘Sloshed’ ex-minister David Chapfika whisked away by ambulance after collapsing in the midst of a drinking binge
Harare- EX- finance minister and former Zanu PF Mutoko South MP David Chapfika collapsed in a drunken stupor at Harare Sports Club Thurday night, reports Express Mail Zim.
The divorced minister has been seekig sanctuary in the bottle and he was heavily imbibing with his friends and had a sudden blackout and fell down from his chair going ‘lights out’ after shaking like he was attacked by what looked like fits.
He had was quickly whisked away by an ambulance to an unknown hospital.
His acquitances who spoke to Express Mail Zim said ever since his messy divorce with his wife of 33 years Abina Chapfika(nee Mutimusakwa), he had made a massive behavourial metarmophosis and sought sanctuary in the wise waters.
“The cde (Chapfika) has not been himself after his divorce , he did not follow requirements of his medical condition (undisclosed) and I think that is why he collapsed today (Thursday) but I wish him a speedy recovery, he is good man,” said an acquintance who preffered anonymity.
Chapfika’s messy divorce was premised on allegations of adultery and his ex -wife Abina walked away with 50 percent shares of their holding company Racewin Trading(Private) Limited and immovable property that includes 200 hectares at Hurudza Farm.
Meanwhile, patrons at the elite drinking hole however quickly reacted to seek medical attention for the sloshed former minister who is a ‘resident’ patron.
Efforts to ascertain his condition hit a snag as the paramedics who ferried him cited medical practitioner-patient confidentality clause.
