HARARE – Sister’s Keeper Foundation, a non-profit organization, founded by Makosi Musambasi, dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer, has announced the Tee Off of its Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament.
The Tournament will be hosted in Zimbabwe for the first time and will take place on the 21st September 2023 at the Royal Harare Golf Course. The tournament aims to raise awareness of the impact of this devastating disease.
Musambasi was inspired by the growing number of cancer cases in Africa .
” The continent faces its own unique challenges regarding cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. There are several factors contributing to this increase, including changing lifestyles, limited access to healthcare, and lack of awareness ,” she said.
With this golf tournament, Sister’s Keeper Foundation aims to bring together golf enthusiasts, policy makers, leaders in society, and businesses to support the cause and make a significant impact in the fight against breast cancer.
” This exciting tournament is about a shared commitment to make a difference.”
Golfers and even non golfers are invited to participate in a friendly competition on the famous Royal Harare Golf Course. It promises to be a thrilling and engaging experience for all participants.
In addition to the golf tournament, the event will include various activities and opportunities for sponsors to showcase their support for breast cancer awareness. All proceeds from the event will go towards funding breast cancer awareness programs.
