Rapists flock to Zanu PF, Chegutu West MP Nduna challenges preliminary poll results

Chegutu – Zanu – PF is divided over the recently held controversial primary elections and some party bigwigs are challenging the results forcing a the Politburo to hold a special as hoc tribunal after receiving complaints.

There are reports of criminals and rapists infiltrating the party and irregularly creating a ‘new’ support base .

This publication understands that Last Chigavazira who supposedly won the Chegutu West constituency sponsored rapists and fanned violence against the sitting member of Parliament Dexter Nduna.

It is alleged that one of Nduna’s female supporter identified as Makaenda Mbewe was beaten up and rape on the instigation of Chigavazira.

The matter was reported to the police but he (Chigavazira) had strong backing from the Dispol identified as Mzondiwa.

Analysts are calling for the invoking of the preliminary results and the disqualification of truant party members.

Express Mail Zim has sight of a letter authored by Nduna and directed to the national elections directorate, national political commissar and Mash West provincial chairperson dated March 27, where massive flaws in the electoral proccess where unearthed.

“National elections directorate is encouraged to look at the conduct of elections in Chegutu west constituency by last chigavazira his team that included the DISPOL and councillor Tatenda Gwinji.

2. On Monday the 20th of march 2023 my campaign team was assaulted and refused permission to adress the electorate that I had gathered for the meeting in ward 24 and lady was abducted raped beaten up and left for dead for supporting me but still was arrested by the police team led by the district police officer and put in Chegutu police cells whilst she was heavily injured. I pleaded with the dispel and district medical officer Dr. Hence to get her treated by the DISPOL Mr. Mzondiwa refused but in fact detained her for two days whilst she was in pain and only got liberty at the court. The DISPOL refused the receive the assault and rape report from the lady MAKAENDA MBEWE, sighting that CHIGAVAZIRA and his team had already made a report against the lady hence she could not make a police report. The po- lice only accepted the report from the lady after I wrote a letter of complaint to The police commissioner general the provincial affairs minister and CDE MATUKE PB security and yourself. An assault and rape report has since been made against last chigavazira and his team

at Chegutu police, I pray therefore that the law should take its course and that the Zanupf Primary rules and regulations governing the conduct of primary elections stamped and dated 10th march 2023 be invoked and the dispol mzondiwa be removed from Chegutu and the police force to expedite the arrest of his friend last chigavazira and his team for rape and assault of a young lady.

3. On the 25th march the polling stations were made to close in town by the DISPOL Mzondiwa who I believe is not good for zanupf elections or any other because he harbours personal hatred for the sitting member of parliament due the some court battles between the two which arose when chamois came to Chegutu and I took the whole the residents of Chegutu to Risboro mine to offer them 30 000 stands on my mine, that left him infuriated because according to CCC legislators he was promised large sums of money if the rally was successful but all that went in vain. The relationship between Zanupf and the DISPOL. is irretrievable and PB Mature is in the picture, the DISPOL just loves money and he isn’t good for the force and country. On the 26th of march 2023 even after the a directive from National political commissar the DISPOL refused to open the urban voting stations sighting false security concerns. Wards 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 did not open and refusing the right to vote for more than 15000 cell Registered voters in ward 6 a council candidate was sent by the chigavazira team to steal cell registers from the polling station whilst the police watched helplessly, the Dispol and Chegutu police are heavily compromised because of he dispol the head and are not fit for purpose. Part 1,2 and 3 should take its course as it is related to the conduct of this chigavazira team and DISPOL Mzondiwa. Look at the numbers from a complete ward of 2500 people in cells only less than 100 voting. Thousands of people didn’t vote in the urban wards going against the order given the NPC on the 25th of march when it became apparent that it was a necessary extension for people to vote.

4. On the voting days 25th and 26th all the headman and 400 electorate in ward 24 villages were loaded into a thirty tonne truck and driven from the voting stations and homes by last chigavazira and tatenda gwinji council aspirant for more 300km in the bush of mhondoro mubaira and chegutu in a rugged terrain with the elderly suffering body aches and trauma from 0600hrs-1900hrs each day. All the headman and electorate concerned are willing to testify. On the voting day the chivazira and gwinji team were distributing fliers and loading people into lorries pasted with their posters and also feeding the voters at the polling stations part 2 and 3 of the rules and regulations refers; abduction kidnapping and holding for ransom. A report was made to the DISPOL during the polling day of the 26th that the chigavazira team which was brandishing guns at the chegutu zanupf command centre had now gone and terrorised voters and officials at tiverton ward 25 voting station, what surprised me is that the DISPOL was at pain trying to implicate me whilst I was making a report standing with him at zanupf and the shootings were happening 50 kms away this shows the desperation that the DISPOL is approaching the chegutu west primary elections in order to help get rid of me. This article read chegutu west aspirant last chigavazira and Russel mashongedza armed themselves with smith and Wesson short guns and pistols and started shooting at voters at Tiverton district in ward 25 at 1300hrs and the police watching helplessly. The same letter of complaint was sent the the NPC.

5. The first and second day were marked by the hiding of cell registers for the airforce JZM Airfoce base electorate by the presiding officers and police, so the members and dependants

who are all in the cell registers and are known voters for me as we share a historical back- ground had their voting rights withheld. The cell registers were later released when the soldiers had gone so still the airforce didn’t manage to vote.

6. My prayer: please restore normalcy to the voting process and use the guidelines to disqualify the truant members and those implicated in the electoral malpractices, allow the electorate to vote and avail all voting cell registers for the airforce and other members who were nit allowed to vote. An assault and rape report has since been made against the perpetrators may these members not be protected by dispol and the law takes its course.
