PUP intensfies campaign ahead of 2023 elections

Harare- PEOPLE’ s

Unity Party leader Herbert Chamuka has intensified his campaign as the country heads to 2023 elections.

The veteran politician who left Ideas Party for Democracy and formed PUP said the electorate should vote for his party as it has the solution for the problems bedeviling the country.

His utterance came after a spectacular collapse of the Zimbabwean economy with inflation being the highest in the world.

The last time Zimbabwe’s inflation was the highest in the world was in 2008 with government printing trillion dollar notes which are now part of the exhibition at several museums around the world.

“The ruling Zanu PF has no solution to the current messy the country is in. The Citizens Coalition for Change is also just there to criticize without giving solutions. As PUP we say please vote for us in 2023 and the country will change for the better,” he said.

Chamuka said the party was inclusive of all tribes in the country.

“My second vice president is from Matebeleland and this shows that we are an inclusive party. When Robert Mugabe and Joshua Nkomo signed the Unity Accord the agreement was at some point someone from Matebeleland was supposed to take over and that did not happen. We are not like that,” Chamuka said.

The maverick politician also said CCC has exposed it’s members by participating in the March by-elections.
