Prevail Group founder Tungwarara scoops top regional accolade, honoured for luring foreign investors

The awards came at the right time when the country is poised for economic take- off

Harare- THE Africa Investment Leaders Forum and Awards ceremony held in Harare Friday, saw Prevail Grouping International founder Paul Tungwarara emerging the biggest winner scooping the the overall best investor award.

Other winners included acclaimed Midlands based businessman Tinashe Manzungu from Zimbuild .

The awards ceremony was meant to recognise the outstanding contributions made by the winners to the tireless efforts they made in promoting Investments accross the continent.

In his acceptance speech, Tungwarara called on Diasporans to invest in the country as an impetus to lure foreign investors through confidence building.

” Today I am excited that I have won the overall investor award and this is due to the contribution I made in Zimbabwe in bringing foreign investors in the country.

“So it is my call to Diasporans to come and invest in the country so that we can also give confidence to foreigners who may want to come and invest here in Zimbabwe.

” If we dint have confidence with our country no one will have hence nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,” said Tungwarara who whose company PGI was also contracted to implement the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme.

Manzungu echoed Tungwarara” sentiments and said the foreign investors must embrace the country’s friendly policies.

“What we want to encourage our colleagues who are in other countries is to come and help in economic development of our nation.

” They must take the opportunity and the friendly policies and tapping into opportunities,” said Manzungu.

The awards came at the right time when the country is poised for economic takeoff, as local and foreign investors flock to capitalise on the country’s vast opportunities.
