constructs a state of the art facility in Buhera
Buhera- PREVAIL Group International Consortium has complemented government efforts to expand the tourism and hospitality industry in line with the attainment of Vision 2030.
The consortium led by businessman Paul Tempter Tungwarara has built a five star lodge in Buhera.
The lodge is called Elephant Executive Lodge located in a serene enviroment a few kilometres from Murambinda growth point.
This reporter had an opportunity to spend a night at the lodge and the ambience is excellent and one can experience and enjoy the beauty of the local flora and fauna – far from the madding crowd of the big city!
This initiative from Prevail International resonates with the fact that domestic tourism can play an important role in Zimbabwe’s economic growth and prosperity, pursuant to the attainment of a US$5 billion industry by 2025.
Recently , Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Tongai Mnangagwa said the domestic tourism sub-sector is an economic enabler that can see the creation of jobs both directly and indirectly, as well as the developing of necessary infrastructure.
Elephant Executive Lodge employs people from the Buhera locale who are being groomed by hospitality industry experts from Harare.
Coincidentally, the Uhuru celebrations will be held in Buhera and the facility will play a pivotal role in accomodating delegates.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority applauded the move.
“We express our profound gratitude and enthusiasm for the PREVAIL Group International Consortium’s ,significant contribution to the expansion of our nation’s tourism and hospitality sector,” said a ZTA official.
