Prevail complements govt efforts of job creation, 500 people secure employment
HARARE: Prevail Group International contracted to drill boreholes in the Presidential borehole drilling scheme has so far created 500 jobs countrywide in the spirit of leaving no one and no place behind.
The firm has complemented government efforts of job creation in line with NDS1.
Prevail boasts of well experienced technorats team is employing both skilled and semi-skilled workers in all the 10 provinces it is operating with each province having more than 50 people.
Prevail Group International is led by a thriving businessman who is also the special investment advisor to the President, Dr Paul Tungwarara.
Dr Tungwarara has high links worldwide including connections to the owner of the world’s tallest building burji kalifa and owner of dammarc the biggest property companies in Dubai.
Prevail is expanding its business after recently finishing their factory in Tynward, Harare for manufacturing different products.
The firm has also finished its quarry mine in Buhera and now mobilising to start construction of a five star hotel in Kariba.
Prevail which is playing a big part in the economy of Zimbabwe has also moved into logistics business having started with brand new 20 by 30 tonne trucks already in the country.
Prevail which is a reknowned borehole drilling giant has also now spread its wings to Matebelaland South.
The team is currently installing several boreholes in Thabani village, Tsholotsho.
Apart from drilling boreholes it is also installing irrigation facilities under the presidential borehole drilling initiative.
PGI has already taken its borehole drilling initiative to Plumtree as it continues to provide portable clean water to rural communities.
This ambitious programme, overseen by the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa), aims to address water challenges as well as transform the livelihoods of residents in rural areas.
It aligns with the government’s efforts to improve water access in remote communities, supporting both horticulture and domestic usage.
PGI chairperson Dr Paul Tungwarara, chairperson of the PGI, saw his company installing at least 100 boreholes in Buhera before Independence Day celebrations at the Murambinda growth point.
“Our role is to provide potable water to the people of Zimbabwe leaving no one and no place behind.
“In areas we have drilled boreholes so far people are happy they can now access water from the tap without walking for long distances,” said Tungwarara.
