Prayer Series 1…..

By Honest Mundondo
Prayer is one of the most important and crucial spiritual practice which leads to a greater connection and fellowship with God.

It is a common practice in many religions, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, among others;

But being raised in a Pentecostal family, I was taught to pray at a very young age and received different teaching on the importance of prayer.

My parents would always make sure that when we start the day and when it ends, we repent and give our gratitude and praises for the day.

They would always say; we can not only pray when we are in trouble or facing challenges but it had to be normal practice to learn and appreciate God in all situations and circumstances.

It is sad that most of us only remember God when things are not well, when we need Healing, when we face spiritual attacks or when we are desperately looking solutions.

Yes, God has a great sense of humour, His love is for everyone and anyone who believes in Him can have abundance and much more but the reason why he created us was for us to fellowship and worship Him.

We can only have a connection and a deeper relationship with God when we pray.

This helps us build and maintain a relationship with God fostering a sense of closeness and intimacy that is unexplainable but only experienced during prayer.

It is the time when we seek for direction and insight for life’s challenges and decisions, You can use it as a tool for self-examination, reflection, and personal growth seeking guidance on life’s purpose and meaning.

Prayer can bring a deep sense of peace, comfort, and solace, calming our minds and hearts, increased empathy, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and others.

When you believe, you may let go of worries, fears, and doubts, surrendering to God and trusting in his plans.

Prayer can clarify our values, goals, and life purpose, giving us direction and motivation and may feel an overwhelming sense of unconditional love, acceptance, and compassion from God.

By the Grace of God next week I will be elaborating on different types of prayers and conditions for an Effective prayer.
