Police reveal triple killer Muvevi’s formal charges
Harare- POLICE has Thursday revealed formally preffered charges against triple killer Jaison Muvevi.
He is facing three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
He is due to formally appear in court for his initial remand Friday.
The police however urged members of the public and media to desist from interference with investigations.
“Due to the huge interest in the case the Zimbabwe Republic Police appeals to the media and interested individuals to allow the investigations to proceed smoothly with the main objective of meeting the requirements of the law for the suspect to be duly indicted for trial by the courts of law in due course,” said police spokesperson Paul Nyathi.
Earlier today, police took the suspected murderer to his rural home of Hwedza for indications.
His lawyer Samuel Madzingire’s intial request to have him sent to jail was thrown in the bin by presiding magistrate Dennis Mangosi.
