Plot to smear Tagwirei by rogue church members exposed

By Hector Madzima
Harare- THERE are murmurs of allegations being leveled against businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei.
Church members indicated that there was a group of high profile Seventh Day Adventists and opposition political figures who were knocking on their doors at night seeking to enlist support for action against Tagwirei.
These rebels are alleging serious misconduct by Kudakwashe Regimond Tagwirei. Church members however said it is imperative to set the record straight. These allegations are not only unfounded but are part of a calculated smear campaign perpetuated by individuals seeking to tarnish the reputation of Mr. Tagwirei and his close associates, including Guvamatanga and others.
Heather Dube from City Centre church said “It is crucial to recognize that since Mr. Tagwirei entered the mainstream political arena, the intensity of these allegations has significantly increased. High-profile individuals within the opposition political circles have strategically used this opportunity to spread falsehoods that aim to undermine Mr. Tagwirei’s character. This organized campaign is rooted in frustration; these detractors were unable to secure financial backing from Tagwirei for their own agendas, prompting them to resort to character assassination.”
Another Church member Oswald Ngarande added that “There is absolutely nothing wrong with Elder Tagwirei participating in mainstream politics. Former General Conference boss Ben Carson is a Republican who is in mainstream politics, while the current Vice President of Botswana and Minister of Finance is also an Adventist. In Zimbabwe the late John Landa Nkomo was an Adventist among others and Elder Tagwirei has our support.”
Furthermore, the failed M31 movement, which has not gained traction in its objectives, has aligned itself with these malicious efforts. Their desperation to discredit Mr. Tagwirei is evident, as it reflects a broader goal of destabilizing anyone who stands in their way or poses a threat to their political ambitions. M31 targeted Wicknell Chivhayo, Guvamatanga, Major Sean Mnangagwa and now they are focused on Tagwirei.
Kudakwashe Tagwirei has consistently demonstrated a commitment to community upliftment and has made meaningful contributions that reflect positively on the church and society which earned him the Global Excellence Award. He has been a pillar of support for numerous initiatives aimed at fostering growth and development, reinforcing his dedication to integrity and service.
The unfounded accusations of extramarital affairs, corruption, and personal misconduct are nothing more than fabrications crafted in the shadows of political rivalry.
Mwemba Maluba from Lusaka Central SDA church said “It is vital that we, as a community, do not fall victim to these orchestrated attacks that aim to sow discord and diminish the credibility of honorable individuals and the church.”
She added that “Let us not forget the importance of due process and corroborated evidence in matters of this nature. We urge members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the wider community to approach these allegations with skepticism and to see them as part of a broader political strategy rather than established truths.”
