From registering policies to arranging services and tracking progress, it’s all now possible through the Nyaradzo mobile app.

Known for decades as a household name in dignified funeral services, Nyaradzo is now leading a tech revolution in the industry.

In a digital notice released Wednesday , the group has introduced a suite of digital tools that make planning and managing funeral arrangements quicker, easier, and more accessible—even for those in the diaspora.

> “We understand that losing a loved one is never easy. Our digital tools are designed to make the process less stressful by giving families control, convenience, and support—wherever they are,” said an official from Nyaradzo.

The app allows users to register policies, make payments, consult virtually, and even access bereavement resources—all from their smartphones. It’s a shift that speaks directly to Zimbabwe’s growing tech-savvy population and the millions living abroad who want to support their families back home in times of need.

Industry watchers say the move sets Nyaradzo apart.

> “They’ve managed to stay culturally rooted while embracing innovation. It’s a blueprint for modern service delivery in Africa,” said business analyst Tawanda Nyoni.

As the digital wave continues to sweep across various sectors, Nyaradzo is proving that even the most traditional services can evolve—while still preserving dignity, compassion, and culture.

Express Mail Zim could not however ascertain latest market share for the industry since IPEC has not yet revealed such but the co-founder Philip Mataranyika is famed for ‘connecting the dots ‘ in the industry.

Meanwhile, speculative reports suggests that ‘ ambush marketin’ has reigned supreme in the industry with allegations that some major players are making concerted efforts of reputation destruction of other players -a development that IPEC has condemned with the orgasm of contempt and sources say investigations are underway to restore normalcy in the industry.
