Nkosana Moyo chickens out of 2023 Presidential race
Harare- ALLIANCE for People’s Agenda (APA) president Nkosana Moyo has announced that he will not be running for presidency in the 2023 elections, Express Mail Zim can report.
The country’s shortest serving minister said he will shift focus to his work with Mandela Institute for Development Studies.
“APA wishes to announce that Dr Nkosana Moyo is standing down as President, and will therefore not be running in the Presidential elections in 2023,” read a statement released Thursday.
Moyo registered his disagreement of Zanu PF policies in 2001 and resigned as Minister of Industry and International trade in a huff compelling the late former President Robert Mugabe to label him a ‘coward’.
He had a dismal performance in the 2018 harmonised elections that were won by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Moyo is a technocrat and holds a PhD (Physics).
