Makosi has done the same at Tokwe-Mukosi disaster

Abuja- PHILANTHROPIST and Life coach Makosi Musambasi has spread her philanthropic works beyond borders and empowered youths in Abuja on World Children’s Day last week.

Makosi is the founder of Sisters’ Keepers Foundation which has assisted orphans and champions girl child rights in Zimbabwe.

Speaking from her base in Abuja, Makosi said its part of her organisation’s ongoing commitment to support communities in Zimbabwe and Africs at large.

Next week she is flying in Harare and she pledged to donate sanitary pads at the Edith clinic in Mbare.

“The Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving students, provided essential textbooks, and supplied sanitary pads to girls at Junior Secondary School, Gosa in Abuja,” said Makosi.

This gesture was extended at a special ceremony to mark the 2024 Children’s Day celebration held at the school, representatives of the Sister’s Keeper Foundation handed over scholarships to 14 students who have demonstrated academic excellence and financial need.

These scholarships will cover tuition fees, ensuring that these bright young minds can continue their education without the burden of financial constraints.

In addition to the scholarships, the Foundation has donated a wide range of textbooks to the students. These books, covering various subjects, will enhance their learning experience, providing them with the resources they need to excel academically.

Recognizing the importance of menstrual health and hygiene, the Sister’s Keeper Foundation has also provided sanitary pads to girls at the school. This initiative aims to ensure that no girl misses school due to lack of access to sanitary products, promoting both their health and their education.

“Our mission at Sister’s Keeper Foundation is to support and uplift our community, particularly the youth who represent our future.

“By providing scholarships, textbooks, and sanitary pads, we hope to remove some of the barriers that prevent students from achieving their full potential. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive,” said Makosi.

She added that the foundation extends its gratitude to all those who have made the initiative possible.

” We are committed to continuing our efforts to support education and promote the well-being of young girls in the community,” she said.
