Mupambi condemns Geza’s call for national shutdown

Outspoken human rights activist Dr. Abigale Mupambi has strongly criticized former ZANU PF Central Committee member Blessed Geza for calling for a national shutdown scheduled for April 22–23.
Responding to a tweet on X,by the retired brigadier general, who announced an impending statement regarding the shutdown, Dr. Mupambi dismissed the address as inconsequential, sarcastically remarking that there was “nothing to miss,” as seen in the accompanying image.
She went on to suggest that Geza’s true motive may be a desire to return to the ruling party, urging him to find a way back into ZANU PF rather than mobilizing the public for political grandstanding.
“I urge citizens not to be hoodwinked by what Geza is agitating for. He is fighting a personal battle and seeking elite treatment. In one of his videos, he even claimed he wanted to be pampered with a luxury vehicle and bodyguards,” she said.
“People should ignore him and carry on with their daily activities as usual.”
Geza, a former legislator for Sanyati, was expelled from ZANU PF after holding several press conferences in which he openly denounced President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police has since launched a manhunt for Geza in connection with his alleged incitement to violence and calls for the removal of a sitting president.
Meanwhile, journalist Blessed Mhlanga, head of HSTV, who is accused of aiding Geza in publicizing his accusations against the president, remains in remand facing charges of incitement
