Mukoma Panga’s hobby bears fruits

Harare- CORPORATE lawyer-cum-musician, Panganayi Hare, is on cloud nine.

This follows the instant success of his latest single titled Tadiwanashe featuring Mark Ngwazi and Chipoko ChaSauro.

It was released early this week and it’s already a hit with sungura lovers.

Mukoma Panga, as the former music promoter is fondly known, says he has always dreamt of recording his stull until 2019 when he entered the studio and nailed it.

He hailed popular music producer Jabulani Ndlovu of Trutone Studios of persuading him to follow his heart.

“Growing up, I have always wanted to record but I had no time due to studies and later my demanding job as a lawyer.

“I later ventured into music promotion after being persuaded by the late Simon “Chopper’ Chimbetu who was a close friend.
“In 2019, I had the guts to record an album named Mbuva YeHwiza. I had written most of these songs in the year 2009 and it took me a decade doing so.
“ One of my songs Mukoma Panga topped the charts and I was twice nominated for the Zimbabwe Music Awards and National Arts Merit Awards even though I lost,” he said.

Mukoma Panga, who believes in collaborations, says it was a marvel to work with Chipoko ChaSauro and Mark Ngwazi.

“It’s no doubt that Mark Ngwazi is the man of the moment with a number of hits and we should honour him for his success.

“He is no doubt a sungura game-changer who is scaling dizzy heights. I just want to work with stars.

“As for Chipoko ChaSauro, he has nothing to prove after he demonstrated his talent in the previous song named Sadza Nemhiripiri,” he said.

Besides the new track, he boasts of other chart-toppers like Chibhakera, which he wrote against gender based violence and two love singles Uri Wangu 2020 and Mai Mwana.

He is currently in the studio working on a number of songs, which he collaborated with other top sungura artists.
Mukoma Panga has been fusing sungura with other genres such as Zim dancehall, gospel and contemporary rhumba.

  2. Throughout the grand scheme of things you actually get an A for effort and hard work. Exactly where you confused everybody was first in all the specifics. As people say, the devil is in the details… And it couldn’t be much more accurate at this point. Having said that, permit me say to you just what exactly did deliver the results. The article (parts of it) can be very convincing which is most likely why I am making the effort to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, despite the fact that I can certainly see the leaps in reason you make, I am not necessarily sure of just how you seem to connect the points that help to make the conclusion. For right now I will subscribe to your position but trust in the near future you actually link your facts much better.
