Money Heist: Securico Cash-In Transit team loses money in robbery

Harare: SECURICO security company cash-in-transit vehicle lost an undisclosed amount of money in a dramatic robbery in Harare Thursday Express Mail Zim has learnt.
The incident occurred in Newlands where the company’s cash in transit van was attacked by armed robbers who are said to have disarmed the Securico guards in a movie style fashion.
“It was like a movie , no shots were fired but when I saw gun wielding men I had to scurry for cover and I did not see what transpired next,” said an airtime vendor who claims to have been close to the scene but preffered anonymity.
Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson Assistant Assistant commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident to Express Mail Zim and promised to furnish more details as investigations are underway.
“We have received a report of a cash in transit vehicle which lost money to robbers, we will share more details in due course” Nyathi said .Such cases are on the rise with speculation that most of the culprits are Zimbabweans who were based in South Africa where the gun control is lax.
