Mnangagwa to attend coronation of the oldest person to take over the British throne
Harare- IN the practical implementation of the re-engagement policy,President Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to attend the coronation of King Charles 111 – the oldest person to accede to the British throne ,Express Mail Zim can report.
Mnangagwa is expected to grace the occasion in May.
The former Prince of Wales is now aged 74 and tasted the throne after his mother’s death on September 8 2022.
His first wife died Princess Diana in a chase with paparazzi after her alleged romantic affair with Doddi Al Fayed whose father owned Harrods- a high end departmental store.
Several conspiracy theories have been submitted regarding her death in a scandal tantamount to the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky saga.
Back home ,the former Vice President Kembo Mohadi’s alleged shenanigans easily come into mind!
His (King Charles 111) late mother Queen Elizabeth 11, who was married to a non British (Phillip), was touted to have been a friend of the late former President Robert Mugabe .
She knighted him and he was also well known for his penchant for an English lifestyle including his preference of sporting disciplines and accent where he spoke through his nasal passage in an attempt to sound British- a feat he mastered so well.
Being one of Mugabe ‘s most trusted lieutenants before Grace Marufu ‘happened’ ,Mnangagwa presumably has the favour of the British monarchy since the then ‘young’ Charles highly likely personally knows him dating back to when his mother was supposedly friends with Mugabe.
In regards putting his word where his mouth is in the gospel of re-engagement, Mnangagwa has vigorously push diplomatic drive since his inauguration after restoring legacy with massive aid from the military in 2017.
Said Mnangagwa:
“We hope the
Administration there is beginning to see that relations between us must be re-based, putting behind us the unwarranted and undeserved punitive measures which do not serve our mutual interests. In early May, I shall be attending the coronation of King Charles III, again adding a positive chapter to our bilateral relations with the United Kingdom.”
He insinuated that re- engagement with London and Buckingham Palace is the best ingredient for a nutritious relationship.
In further pursuit of the Second Republic ‘s re-engagement policy, Mnangagwa reportedly said Zimbabwe will be opening a full Embassy in Equatorial Guinea soon- a country that is a strategic friend after Harare intercepted Simon Mann led mercenaries destined for that country with the aid of Mark Thatch
Political analysts welcome the re-engagement drive .
