Mberengwa businessman ploughs back to community

Mberengwa South businessman and philanthropist Samson Ncube has ploughed back into his community through various infrastructure development projects. Ncube has embarked in the construction and rehabilitation of clinics, schools and dams in a move that has empowered his community.

In an interview with Express Mail Zim, Ncube said he was working in line with the Vision 2030 and the development path of NDS1. “We are embarking on projects in line with Vision 2030 and we are happy with the pace that we are moving,” he said.

Some of the notable projects include a dip tank in Ward 27 under Chief Chingoma.

Speaking to the Express Mail Zim, dip tank chairman Eliphanos Dube said “since 1963 we have been visiting a dip tank which is about nine kilometers away and we have lost livestock from ticks and other pests since there will be much pressure to use the dip and more 1500 cattle will be serviced in this area alone. This development by Samson Ncube is going to take us far as a community and enable us to take care of our live stock.”

Another beneficiary Shuvai Mugwagwa from Machingwe area applauded Ncube’s developmental projects.

“The construction of this clinic in Machingwe will enables us to visit a closer clinic especially when giving birth because some women die in scotch carts whilst being ferried to Gwarava,and Chegato which are about 20km, or Chegato which is 10 km away and will be overpopulated, he donated more than 80 bags of cement, brick force and bricks to enable the the swift movement of the construction work in progress,” Mugwagwa said.

He has also been building blocks and renovating schools in Mberengwa South these schools include South Mukwava School in ward 27, Mande School Primary school Chamakudo school and Vambare school in ward 25 amongst other schools.

These empowerment projects have resulted in the creation of employment for the local youths. Ncube. was born and bred in Mberengwa and is into the transport and mining industry.
