On August12 2024 we published an article titled “Steelmate director Chisenye ‘swims’ in wetlands storm.
In the article in question, we incorrectly stated that businessman Mr Clive Chisenye illegally constructed cluster houses in Sentosa on wetlands.
Our sources presented papers to us, which purported that Mr Chisenye had acted without the confines of the law in regards wetlands preservation.
However, it is with deep regret that it turned out that the sources might have harboured sinister motives and it is on record that the construction of the cluster houses was above board .
Mr Chisenye followed due procedure.
We fervently apologise to him, his family , employees, business associates and church mates for the wrong perception the article might have created for the law abiding businessman.
Contents of the article incorrectly potrays him as a reckless citizen and businessman who violates environmental law and disregard Corporate Social Responsibility.
The facts on record are that Mr Chisenye went through all requirements at law before proceeding with construction.
We also put our readers to get the record straight and sincere apologies to the injury and harm our article might have caused to Mr Chisenye and wrong perception by business associates alike.
