Masvingo to host Diaspora Investment Conference

Masvingo- THE Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution
Ezra R Chadzamira on Tuesday reinforced his commitment to host the Second Diaspora Investment Conference and home coming event which will run from April 11 to April the 13.
This year’s edition will run under the theme Celebrating Diaspora Participation through a mutually beneficial partnership for national development and sustained economy growth.
The Minister State’s office for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Masvingo Province together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade will be co-hosting this Diaspora Investment Conference.
The hosting of this conference is a demonstration of government’s desire to create the avenues through which the Zimbabwean Diaspora can actively participate in the current development trajectory by investing in productive sectors of the economy.
“The contribution of the Diaspora community has seen an increase in the financial remittance by 13 percent in the year 2023 as compared to the previous year 2022.
” In this regard we need to applaud them for their job well done.
“The coming of this conference is a blessing to Zimbabwe in particular Masvingo since it is a platform for information sharing between the Zimbabwean Diaspora community and all stockholders on this investment climate opportunities across all sectors of the economy as well as discuss practical ways in which the Diaspora can actively participate in the development of their mother land,” said Chadzamira.
