Losing Zanu PF candidate Boss Tumelo pulls ‘middle finger’ at Obert Mpofu, defies directive to return party vehicle
Harare- DEBT ridden losing Zanu PF candidate for Glen View North Witness Zamanga better known by his moniker Boss Tumelo has technically pulled a ‘middle finger’ at the ruling party secretary for administration Obert Mpofu and refused to return the party vehicle given to him as directed by Politburo,Express Mail Zim can report.
In a letter dated October 29, Mpofu, under the instruction of the ruling party’s highest decision making organ the PB , instructed the 26 losing ruling party candidates to surrender the service vehicles to the party headquarters but only eight complied to the directive acting in complete negation of party protocol and wanton display of insurbodination.
According to sources, the real estate mogul who has had several clashes with the law in bogus double allocation deals in Ashown Park (cases of which are on court record) and a well known big money spender in the bright lights of Harare’s affluent night clubs, bragged that he will NEVER return the car citing that he spent a lot of money in his campaign trail serving the revolutionary party.
Many say he chose the politics path to protect his business interests and maintain hegemony in the ‘hot’ real estate sector which has seen the incarceration of the late Fredrick Mabamba,Taurai Chivanga among other well known alleged land barons.
“Tumelo was clear that he will not return the car after working hard for the party and pumping out his cash in the campaign trail diverting money from his real estate business where he has stands in Nyabira and Ashdown Park,” said our highly placed source who preffered anonymity.
According to sources, the ruling party erred by allocating a Paltry US $5 000 for campaign to candidates in the urban areas – a recipe for catastrophe in the next elections.
“Candidates in urban areas had to fork out their own money and this will deter them to contest in urban areas in the next elections.
“Some of them are contemplating on vandalising the vehicles because they fell robbed and unappreciated,” opined our source.
Loyal losing candidates like Scott Sakupwanya,Paidamoyo Nyamakanga and Mavis Gumbo (Harare East) duly complied with the directive on time and surrendered the vehicles in a ‘safe and sound’ condition according to a check list released by the ruling party’s vehicle maintenance department.
Zanu PF was walloped in the urban areas as has become tradition despite of the Second Republic’s sterling efforts in infrastructural development ahead of vision 2030 and implementation of NDS1.
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
