Justice Mutevedzi deployed to Bulawayo, named senior judge

The former English teacher replaces Justice David Mangota

Harare- Justice Munamato Mutevedzi has been this week appointed the most senior judge in Bulawayo, Express Mail Zim can report.

Chief Justice Luke Malaba deployed him to Bulawayo early this week.

The former teacher and chief magistrate replaces Justice David Mangota who is now on retirement.

Mutevedzi was promoted to the High Court three years ago after serving as chief magistrate based at Harare Magistrates’ Court.

He had replaced Mishrod Guvamombe.

The Masvingo raised judge switched careers from being an English teacher before enrolling at the Judicial college of Zimbabwe.

He then went to Law school and rose through the ranks to his current position.

His career is however not without shade, local publication Zim Morning Post reported that on July 3 2019, Mutevedzi was behind solemnization of Marry Mubaiwa’s marriage but she was later convicted of marriage fraud.
