Job Sikhala convicted, ordered to pay US$600 fine

Harare – OPPOSITION lawmaker and Zengeza West MP Job Sikhala was handed down a wholly suspended six months sentence after conviction for obstructing the course of justice.

Magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa also fined him US$600 or six months in jail if he fails to pay.

The 50-year old firebrand politician has been held in maximum security prison since June when he was arrested alongside fellow CCC members.

Sikhala has been arrested 67 times but has never been convicted.
