Jilted lover accidentally kills ex-girlfriend in a fit of rage

Masvingo -A Jilted lover in Masvingo has been arrested in connection with a fatal altercation that occurred in Chivi’s Munangari Village.
National Police Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest of the 52 year oldan , stating:
“Masvingo police have apprehended Douglaz Gwizangwe in connection with a murder case that took place on April 9, 2025, at Munangari Village, Shongamiti, Chivi. The suspect reportedly threw a stone during a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend, who was carrying the victim on her back at the time.
He allegedly aimed for the woman but missed, striking the victim in the eye.
The victim later succumbed to the injuries upon admission to Chiredzi Hospital.”
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, police in the Midlands Province have launched a manhunt for a suspect linked to a brutal murder at a mining site.
“Police in Shurugwi are appealing for information leading to the arrest of Jimson Pikai Chimba Hlwau, who is wanted in connection with a murder that occurred at Ash 16 Gold Mine on April 10, 2025.
An artisanal miner was stabbed multiple times across the body with a sharp object,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
