Israel’s Bombing Of ” Safe Zone Tent” Condemned

By Desire Tshuma

Ambassador of The state of Palestine Dr Tamer Almassri condemns the Israeli bombing of a tent camp in the so-called “safe zone” in Gaza’s al-Mawasi with F-16 fighter jets supplied by few colonial governments showing blatant complicity in Israel’s war crimes.

At least 21 people were martyred and over 80 wounded mostly women and children who were incinerated in the strikes which hit tents where more than 14 families were sheltering, igniting large fires.

Israeli forces have intensified their assault on Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, forcing residents to flee while attacking them as part of a full-fledged Israeli ethnic cleansing campaign.

“These crimes are a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, especially the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949. Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafah, which violates its obligations under the Genocide Convention”

“The international community must assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and oblige the occupying state to immediately stop its ongoing aggression against Gaza, its ongoing violations of international law and international humanitarian law, stop its crimes against our people, and hold those responsible accountable” added Ambassador Dr Tarmer Almasri.

Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023 martyring at least 44,532 Palestinians and injuring 105,538 others with 10,000 people are unaccounted for, and presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
