Israel violates ICJ orders

Harare: Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Zimbabwe, Dr Tamer Almassri has condemned the Israeli targeting of civil defence unit killing over 85 civil defense personnel, injuring 301, detaining 20 and destruction of the civil defense stockpile worth one million and three hundred thousand dollars rendering the defense system out of service in the northern Gaza Strip and paralyzing the ability of the civil defense crews to do their humanitarian duties.
The Ambassador said that the Israeli occupation forces are obstructing emergency services and civil defence crews to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave.
He added that the Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, resulting in the killing of at least 76 Palestinians and the injury of 158 others.
He said that the Palestinian martyrs from the Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has risen to 43,922 registered fatalities, over 12 000 still under the rubble with an additional 103,898 individuals sustaining injuries the majority of the victims are women and children.
The Ambassador said that the state of Palestine underscores that imposing severe international sanctions on the occupying state, along with targeting its leaders, settlement advocates, and extremist factions, is essential to halt Israel’s relentless assault on Palestinian rights and secure a future grounded in justice and accountability.
Ambassador Tamer Almassri has stressed that the world should force Israel to comply with the binding orders of the International Court of Justice to enable the provision of basic services and humanitarian assistance at scale in Gaza and Westbank as well as totally ending its occupation of Palestine.
