Isaiah Mupfurutsa leaves De-Mbare

Harare- IT appears the Dynamos Football Club ship is sailing through turbulent waters following the stepping down of chairman Isaiah Mupfurutsa barely twenty four hours after announcement that the head coach Tonderai Ndiraya’s contract will not be renewed.

Mupfurutsa has been at the helm of the club for five years and club spokesperson Tinashe Farawo confirmed the latest development in a statement Wednesday.

“Dynamos Football Club would like to reveal that Isaiah Mupfurutsa is leaving his post as Chairman with immediate effect.

“Mr Mupfurutsa has served Dynamos with distinction since 2018 when he was appointed as Chairman. Therefore Dynamos Football Club would like to thank Mupfurutsa for his tireless dedication to the team,” reads the statement.

It could not be immediately established whether they were third forces that piled pressure on Mupfurutsa to step down.

Meanwhile, speculation on Ndiraya’s possible replacement has been talk of the town with a technical team comprised of Herbert Maruwa (head coach), Lloyd Mablanyo Chigowe (first assistant coach), Murape Murape (2nd assistant coach) , Tichaona Diya (Goalkeepers coach), Richard Chihoro (team manager) and Brighton Chandisaita (Fitness trainer) been touted as frontrunners.

Inside sources however said Kalisto Pasuwa is leading the pack.
