Human-wildlife conflict: Zimparks rangers kill menacing Hwange lion

Hwange- Zimparks reaction team has this week eliminated a problem lion in Hwange, Express Mail Zim has learnt.

According to Zimparks spokesperson Tinashe Farawo, the lion had become a menace killing cattle within the locality.

“Our Zimparks reaction team together with Hwange Rural District Council have reacted to two problem animals in the area.

“These lions were killing cattle and we are still on the ground with view of eliminating the remaining lion,” said Farawo .

Communities close to game parks have fallen victim to problem animal that attack their livestock and even killing community members.

Zimparks has increased patrols in the affected areas.
