Harare man arrested over US$16k botched land deal

Harare- A Harare man identified as Prince Rukudzo was arrested last week in a botched residential stand deal , Express Mail Zim can report.

It is alleged that Rukudzo attempted to sell a piece of land in Eastlea but the buyer noted gross anomalies in the paperwork.

Upon been questioned, Rukudzo insisted that everything was above board and implicated Harare City Council Officials whom he claimed assisted him with paperwork during the acquisition process of the land in question.

The land is valued at US$16 000.

The victim then reported the matter to the police leading to his arrest.

Rukudzo is expected to be arraigned before the courts this week .

Lately , shady land deals have been on the increase with desperate homeseekers falling prey to unscrupulous dealers.

City fathers have for long urged homeseekers to exercise due diligence when making a purchase for a piece of land or property in the capital.
