Gweru city council names evacuation centres in the face of imminent floods

Gweru- THE city of Gweru has established flood evacuation centers in anticipation of the ongoing rains that are expected to persist for over a week.
This precautionary measure was released in a notice Tuesday.
“The measure was taken due to concerns that certain parts of the city might be affected.
“We would like to inform our valued residents that we have set up evacuation centers for those who may be affected by floods.
“The Evacuation Centers are as follows; Ingwe Hall (Senga), Shumba Hall (Mambo), Mkoba 2 Hall Mkoba 10 ,Clubhouse, Mtapa Hall ,Church of the Nazarene – Woodlands and Muwunga Primary School,” read part of the public notice.
Lately, the country has been receiving erratic rainfall posing threat for a drought but this week some parts of the country have received rain.
