Gospel sensation Mahachi ropes in SA star Mashaba

Harare- SOUTH AFRICAN gospel sensation Winnie Mashaba has produced a collaboration with local musician Tatenda Seth Mahachi on a tip titled ‘Shamwari’.
The video was shot on location in Harare with the Midas Touch of profiling producer Zorro. Mashaba flew in this week for the shoot.
In an exclusive interview with Express Mail Zim at a local hotel in the capital, Mashaba said she was excited to be a guest in the country: “I am very excited my brother to be in Zim, we were in Avondale and many other exciting places, pity I have to depart today”.
She also delved into their collaboration with Mahachi:”I got the call from Tatenda to do a collaboration and did not hesitate one bit as the song and meaning resonates with the times.
Tatenda explained the song to me and how it constantly reminds us that whatever the situation we find ourselves in, God is always there for us, he is our ‘Shamwari’.

Mahachi also revealed how they met at the Crowne Gospel Awards years back with Mashaba:”We met at the Crown Gospel awards and I can safely say it was a union from God with my Sister Winnie,we clicked in many ways and have been in touch ever since, only this year I then decided to reach out to her for a collaboration, she is the first female I have had a collaboration with”
The track has already made rave reviews on radio after its release Wednesday, a fusion of languages with Mahachi having taken Mashaba on a tutelage of our Shona language while Mashaba also schooled Mahachi on some Zulu.
This is not the virgin moment that Mashaba has collaborated with a local gospel musician as she also has an Amapiano Gospel track released earlier this year with Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave.
Mahachi also has a decorated discography where he has made collaborations with several regional artistes.
