Good Bye World Cup: Namibia shatters Sables’ dream

France- THE Sables have failed to secure a place at the 2023 Rugby World Cup after a 34-19 defeat by
Namibia Wednesday evening in the semi-finals of the 2022 Rugby Africa Cup at the Stade Maurice David in France, Express Mail Zim can report.
The defeat is a World Cup dream deffered for the Sables who have failed to secure a place in the prestigious tournament for the past twenty years.
The defeat angles Namibia for their seventh successive World Cup appearance when they play Kenya in the final on Sunday.
The winner of this match will play in Pool A at the 2023 World Cup in France, battling for honours against New Zealand,Italy and Uruguay.
New Zealand is known for producing legends like Jonah Lomu.
As consolation , the Sables will have to edge Algeria in their next game to get a third place.
The Sables have only defeated Namibia three times in 34 matches.
Their last outing was at the final of the World Rugby Stellenbosch Challenge final were Namibia triumphed 42-10.
