Glen-View 7 political violence rattles Guti body viewers
Harare – THE disturbances that occured at Tanaka Grounds in Glen View 7 Thursday, claiming the life of a CCC activist Tinashe Chitsunge rattled hundreds of mourners who had gathered for body viewing of the late national hero Ezekiel Guti,Express Mail Zim can reveal.
Express Mail Zim can further reveal that there was a panic mode at the 8000 seater auditorium of the Ezekiel Guti International Convention Centre in Glen View 7, located in the vicinity of Tanaka Grounds where the violent skirmishes occured.
“There was pandemonium outside and running battles between police and activists and body viewers were scared forcing security to lock up all gates and cordon off AMFIC,” said our source who was part of the mourners.
“The body viewing however continued as security quickly allayed fears of possible spillage of violence to mourners,” added our source.
There is a three day body viewing session for the late national hero who died in South Africa at the age of 100.
