Get rich quick: Businessman Nyasha Masoka loses USD100k to Kenyan ‘magicians’

Harare- BUSINESSMAN and finance expert Nyasha Masoka lost USD100 000 to self styled Kenyan ‘magicians’ who lied to him that they had magical powers to multiply the cash three-fold,Express Mail Zim can report.
Masoka, a former financial director for Safeway Insurance Company was introduced to the suspected conmen who intrestingly both have Biblical names (James and Solomon) by his long time friend and former Zanu PF legislator James Munetsi.
Pursuant to their scheme, the trio approached Masoka at his office and made a demonstration where the two Kenyans worked their magic with USD10 that was purpotedly multiplied to USD30.
Nyamasoka was impressed and his friend Munetsi proposed that he ‘invest’ more money in this get quick scheme.
Masoka invited the trio to his house and gave them USD100 000.
The stash of cash was wrapped and mixed with pieces of black paper and some unknown substance.
The ‘miracle money’ was supposed to multiply in 24 hours.
Nyamasoka only realised that it was con when he found out that the supposed wrapped money was a bunch of paper.
His friend Munetsi (57) appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Dennis Mangosi Friday charged with fraud and was remanded in custody to Tuesday for his bail application.
Nothing was recovered..
