Freddy Masarirevu supporter attacked in St Marys

Chitungwiza- POPULAR Citizens Coalition for Change candidate, Freddy Masarirevu’s supporter was Sunday attacked and left for dead by a group of people aligned to one Brighton Mazhindu.

The latter is the former Councillor who was imposed in St Marys against the will of the people after losing the party’s internal election.

Tichaona Munda was hit by iron bars by one Mathius Mazhindu, son to Brighton Mazhindu and Shingi (surname unknown).

Munda was attacked at Forwad Shops in St Marys.

A case has been opened at St Marys police station and the 2 are on a warrant of arrest.

Mazhindu camp has since resorted to violence after noticing that his candidature was unpopular with the masses.

Munda is currently admitted at Chitungwiza general hospital.
