Fire emoji remix ‘s female rappers ready for the big stage
Harare- LOCAL hip hop genre is largely male dominated but the duo of Shian and Monzon is set to change the game.
Born Shian Makombe and Nomonde Mare, the cousins are armed with ammunition that can set the hip hop genre ablaze giving male rappers shivers on the microphone.
Shian recently hogged the limelight with her trending verse on Fire emoji the remix .
The visuals went viral and received rave reviews as the duo is making waves in the Hip Hop and Afro pop circles in Zimbabwe.
She is a wordsmith whose booming voice was oozing with confidence on the verse.
The Fire emoji verse already has over 20 000 views on Earground’s Facebook page.
The platform is one of the most reputable arts pages and success on the platform can be used as a yardstick of competence and growing fan base.
Monzon and Shian have worked on collaborations with T Gonz , Bazooker , Van Choga and the ladies have shared the stage with Freeman , Holy Ten , Votlz JT and they have also worked on their own shows where they were the headlining act.
Besides music,Nomonde is a student at Africa University, while Shian is a nurse , actress and make up artist.
The outfit was formed in 2018 and they are currently working on an EP with Zhomba Entertainment .
The female rappers that can compete with them are Kiki Badd Ass and Trey Young who has been in hibernation lately – giving an edge for these two cousins to penetrate the market.
