Eng Mabhena-Moyo appointed acting Harare City town clerk
His appointment follows the arrest of Eng Hosiah Chisango last night over a US$9,2 street lights tender scandal
Harare- HARARE City Council director of water, Engineer Phakamile Mabhena – Moyo has been appointed acting Town Clerk following the arrest of Engineer Hosiah Chisango Thursday night.
Chisango was sucked in the US$9,2million street lights scandal and joined alleged accomplices cleric Never Murerwa, Jabulani Mukomazi, Denford, Zhungu and Tawanda Mutenhabundo.
Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume made the announcement Thursday, during the 1927th ordinary council meeting.
“The Town Clerk was arrested and we have asked Eng Mabhena to be acting Town Clerk,” said Mafume.
