Harare- Eastwind has made the bold and made a rebuttal setting the record straight vis-a- a malicious and misleading newspaper article published recently with ulterior motives.
In a statement , Eastwind Trust wrote:
“An article published by a local newspaper titled Suspected land barons threatening state witnesses, court told contains gross inaccuracies and misrepresentations about us as Eastwinds Trust, a renowned property developers.
“As a responsible and reputable organisation, we feel compelled to set the record straight and correct the false narrative perpetuated by the article.
The article’s claims that the company’s representatives are threatening state witnesses as revealed in a court cross examination are entirely unfounded and based on malicious intent,” read part of the statement.
The statement further stated that Eastwind Trust officials are set to appear in court on April 3 where the cross examination on Homegrams’ Jason Passade will be done.
There is no cross examination on Passade that has taken place as the last court hearing, on Friday, was postponed to April 3.
“Our record speaks for itself, and we have the evidence to prove it.
The article’s assertion that we are threatening state witnesses is a blatant fabrication.
We have always conducted our business with the utmost integrity and transparency, and we are law abiding citizens.
We are disappointed, but not surprised, by the local newspaper’s lack of journalistic integrity. It is clear that the article was written with a predetermined agenda, rather than a genuine interest in reporting the facts.
We urge our stakeholders, customers, and the general public to be cautious of misinformation and to seek out credible sources. We are confident that a thorough examination of the facts will reveal the truth about Eastwind Trust officials and our commitment to excellence.
There was no cross examination between us and Homegram has taken place, as the court date was postponed to April 3.
