Shattered Dreams!
A broken nation. Hearts in the hands. It’s a make do or die against the disciplined Scots attack.
Chevrons win the toss. Captain Craig decides to field first.
We restrain the Scotts to a measly 234…
After all, we have chased bigger targets before.
Oh my God, Joylord goes for the 1st ball. Royal golden duck!
Captain Craig follows soon, for 2.
It’s a disaster. Zim needs some magic to get out of the power play !
In comes Willo. The nation believes!
After all he’s been the best batsman thus far this tourney, averaging 100plus an innings.
No sooner had we had settled than Willo departed. His lowest score sofar.
In comes the trusted Raza. He tried, against an relentless Scottish attack.
He was Soon to succumb.
Ryan Burl is the one left with the momentous task to take the Chevrons to India.
He proved why Puma gave him the contract. Hitting 4s and 2s to raise zim’s total to a reasonable level.
The Scotts knew they needed his wicket…hitting a 6 to take his tally to 83, Burl miscalculated the next ball.
Tried the same shot, but this time it was too short and he got caught.
With 3 wickets remaining and no recognized batter to get the team over the edge, the chevrons let it slip.
It wasn’t to be, the Chevrons suffered a heartbreaking defeat.
Nothing is left in their hands anymore so far as India 2023 World Cup is concerned.
Hoping for a whooping Scottish defeat against the Dutch.
That won’t be kids game.
The Scottish want to go to India.
However what happens won’t define these boys’ fight. They fought from the first ball throughout.
Probably the last chance we have to see Wilo, Craig and Raza at the World Cup.
Age has caught up with them. But for any fan of the game, this shall surely remain a remarkable fight from the lads
They gave it their all, but sometimes all is not good enough.
Bowl out in glory Willo, Raza, Craig. We all know the effort you put in.
If it’s not now, there shall be some time.
Bowl out heads up kings!
Its fantastic as your other articles : D, appreciate it for putting up. “A lost battle is a battle one thinks one has lost.” by Ferdinand Foch.
