Diamond Musica, Sulu to headline DRC 63rd Uhuru celebrations

Harare- ONE of the country’s longest serving rhumba outfit Diamond Musica will commemorate the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) ‘s 63rd Uhuru celebrations with a star studded fund raising dinner slated for June 30 at the Rainbow Towers.

The event is dubbed “Business Network and Fundraising Dinner”.

The decorated line up includes the apparent heir to the Dendera music throne Sulumani Chimbetu, Shaka Zulu, Khaninda Dhodi, Real Sounds of Africa and DJ Ben.

The Pitshou Lumiere led out fit is geared for the show.

In an interview with Express Mail Zim Lifestyle this week, Lumiere said this was a mammoth event that cements the historic bi-lateral relationship between DRC and Zimbabwe.

“The event aims to raise funds for Congolese charities to assist those affected by civil unrest.

“We are happy that our brother Sulumani Chimbetu will be part of the line up and will join us on this significant event which preaches the gospel of peace love and unity among African nations and the world at large.

“Our guys are ready and we will be sampling new music to keep our guests on their feet,” said Lumiere.

Sulu also registered his appreciation for being considered to perform at this event .

The event is expected to attract businessmen ,socialites and diplomats from both DRC and Zimbabwe.
